Safety of Your Funds
Your peace of mind when transferring funds is extremely important to us. We want to reassure you that your money is handled with the highest standards of security and in full compliance with UK financial regulations.
How we protect your funds
Currencyflow only partners with tier-one banking institutions for both liquidity and the safeguarding of client funds.
All client funds are held in safeguarded accounts that are entirely separate from Currencyflow's own operational funds.
When funds are received into your account, our regulated payment or e-money partners safeguard those funds in accordance with FCA regulatory requirements. This means that the money shown in your payment account or e-wallet is either:
- Held at reputable banks in segregated safeguarding accounts, or
- Covered by an insurance policy,
and remains protected for you in the unlikely event of the insolvency of our partners or Currencyflow.
Safeguarding ends once your funds have been paid out of your account to your beneficiary.
If you would like a breakdown of the exact amount of funds safeguarded at each of our payment or e-money partners at a specific point in time, please contact us at contact@currencyflow.com.
What is a client safeguarded account?
A safeguarded account ensures that client funds are kept separate from the financial institution's own money, providing security and preventing unauthorised access.
Under UK law, Payment Institutions and Electronic Money Institutions are required to:
- Segregate client funds as soon as they are received,
- Keep them separate from all other company funds, and
- Transfer any remaining funds at the end of the business day into safeguarded accounts held with approved banking partners.
This framework ensures your funds are protected and can be returned promptly if required.
